Nottingham’s Handmade Burger Company closes

The Nottingham restaurant operated by Handmade Burger Company closes as the business moves into administration. 

HBC has 29 restaurants, employing approximately 700 people, but has closed nine outlets after appointing Leonard Curtis Recovery as administrator.

Following the closures, 163 staff have been made redundant, although figures for Nottingham job losses haven’t  been provided.

No details have yet been released of how many people were employed at the Nottingham branch and what will happen to their jobs.

It is the third restaurant at the intu Victoria Centre’s  Clocktower dining area to close in less than a year after Coast to Coast and Joe’s Kitchen also failed.
