The centre was evacuated and the flats were locked down after a suspected gas leak this afternoon.
Nottinghamshire Fire and Rescue Service said:
‘The Victoria Centre is now re-open following a major incident.
‘There have been no injuries. There is likely to be traffic disruption around the city as it returns to normal.
‘We would like to thank the public for their patience and understanding as we went about our work.’
