Nottinghamshire County Council announces deputy leader and new key council positions

Nottinghamshire County Council has announced key changes in positions ahead of its  AGM on 27 May, 2021.

These positions will officially take effect at the Council’s AGM on Thursday 27 May 2021.

Councillor Bruce Laughton is the new Deputy Leader of Nottinghamshire County Council. Cllr Laughton represents the Muskham and Farnsfield division.

Councillor Chris Barnfather is the new Business Manager for the Conservatives at County Hall. Cllr Barnfather represents the Newstead division.

Councillor Richard Jackson remains as the Chairman for Finances and Major Contracts Committee. Cllr Jackson represents the Toton, Chilwell and Attenborough division.

Councillor Boyd Elliot is the newly appointed Chairman for Adult Social Care and Public Health Committee. Cllr Elliot represents the Calverton division.

On Monday the council announced Ben Bradley MP as the new leader of Nottinghamshire County Council.

Councillor Neil Clarke MBE is the newly appointed Chairman for Transport and Environment Committee. Cllr Clarke represents the Bingham West division.

Councillor Keith Girling is the newly appointed Chairman for Economic Development and Asset Management Committee. Cllr Girling represents the Newark West division.

Councillor John Cottee is the newly appointed Chairman for the Communities Committee. Cllr Cottee represents the Keyworth division.

Councillor Tracey Taylor is the newly appointed Chair for Children and Young People’s Committee. Cllr Taylor represents the Misterton division.
