Clear skies across much of the region overnight allowing frost and isolated fog or freezing fog patches to form. Western areas clouding over with wintry showers falling across Derbyshire hills. Minimum temperature -1 °C.

Wednesday:

A rather cold but sunny day. Any overnight fog patches clearing around dawn. Coastal showers falling as an increasingly wintry mix. Fog and freezing fog may develop widely overnight. Maximum temperature 3 °C.

Outlook for Thursday to Saturday:

Any fog slowly clearing Thursday to bright spells and a few wintry showers, mainly towards coasts. Similar Friday and Saturday, with showers perhaps reaching further inland. Cold with sharp frosts.
