Officers from Nottinghamshire Police’s Foreign National Offender team have arrested a man on suspicion of murder in Paris on 24 June.
The 64-year-old was detained yesterday (18 September) in Hayes, London after a European Arrest Warrant was issued by French authorities.
He is due to appear at Westminster Magistrates’ Court today for an extradition hearing.
Police Sergeant Tim Cuthbert, of Nottinghamshire Police’s Foreign National Offending Team, said: “We carried out extensive enquiries which led my team to Hayes yesterday where we were able to facilitate a swift arrest.”
“We will now work with the French authorities and assist with the investigation.”
