The main issues are planned roadworks and bus diversions, including a new early-morning diversion through Beeston, while East Midlands Railway continues to operate its enhanced but still reduced Intercity timetable.
Roads and motorways
No major new unplanned incident has been identified on the M1 through Nottinghamshire, A1, A46 or A52.
There have been overnight roadworks on the M1 northbound between junctions 28 and 29, where lanes one and two were closed for construction work between 20:00 last night and 06:00 this morning. The restrictions were scheduled to be removed at 06:00, so there may be some residual impact immediately afterwards.
Drivers should expect the usual increase in traffic on approaches into Nottingham as the morning peak develops.
Rail
East Midlands Railway is now operating its expanded temporary Intercity timetable, introduced on Tuesday 1 September.
The change increased the operator’s Intercity service from around 87% to 92% of the full planned timetable, including the reinstatement of three previously cancelled weekday Nottingham services.
However, this is not yet a return to the complete timetable, and RMT action short of a strike means trains can still be altered or cancelled at short notice.
Passengers should also note that further RMT industrial action is scheduled for Wednesday 16 and Thursday 17 September, affecting EMR Intercity and Connect routes. National Rail says the detailed service plan for those two days has not yet been published.

Trams
NET said at 6 am:
Trams are running to all stops, but the following tram departures are cancelled: 09:00 from Hucknall, 07:53 from Toton Lane. 07:48, 08:33 from Phoenix Park, 07:37, 08:37 from Clifton South.
Buses – new Beeston diversion this morning
A new diversion affects Nottingham City Transport Orange 36 from this morning.
Overnight works on High Road and Chilwell Road mean the journey leaving Chilwell, Blandford Road at 04:47 is diverting via Meadow Lane, Queens Road, Station Road and Middle Street.
At Beeston Interchange, that journey uses Bay 1 rather than its normal stop.
The same early-morning diversion will operate on 2, 3, 4 and 5 September.
Hollington Road and Robin Hood Way
Two daytime closures introduced yesterday continue today.
Hollington Road is closed between 08:00 and 17:00, affecting Pink 28. These closures continue through Thursday 3 September.
In The Meadows, Robin Hood Way closes between 09:30 and 15:30, affecting Navy 48. City-bound buses divert via Meadows Way. The works continue through Friday 4 September.
Victoria Centre changes
Works on Milton Street at Victoria Centre are continuing.
Pink 28 and 30 have temporarily moved away from their normal Victoria Centre stops and are instead using Burton Street alongside The Cornerhouse.
Passengers using these routes in the city centre should therefore allow for the temporary change when making connections.
Other continuing bus disruption
Sherwood Rise remains partially closed until Saturday 5 September, affecting Yellow 68/68A, 69/69A, 70/70B and 71/71B.
Main Street in Woodborough remains subject to daytime closures until Friday 4 September, affecting Sky Blue 61.
At City Hospital, Linden Way remains closed until further notice, affecting Blue 40A.
In Newark, major resurfacing works on London Road continue. The road closes on weeknights between 20:00 and 06:00 until Friday 4 September, with Pathfinder 90 diverting via Portland Street, Albert Street, Boundary Road, Bowbridge Road and Hawton Lane.
More disruption starts tomorrow
Another significant bus diversion begins Thursday 3 September.
Cotgrave Lane in Tollerton will close each day between 07:30 and 19:00 from 3 to 9 September.
Green 12, 12C and 12E will divert via Tollerton Lane, Melton Road and Cotgrave Road, with stops on Cotgrave Lane temporarily unserved.
Major Nottinghamshire roadworks
The long-running A614/A6097 improvement programme continues.
At Lowdham Roundabout, the major junction improvement scheme remains under construction, with the programme expected to last for around 13 months.
At East Bridgford, work continues at the A6097/Kirk Hill junction. Kirk Hill and East Bridgford Road remain closed as part of the approximately 12-month construction programme, with traffic diverted around the village.
Coming tonight – A1 and A453
There are several National Highways restrictions worth noting for later today.
On the A1 southbound, roadworks are scheduled from 20:00 tonight until 06:00 Thursday between the A46 and B6326, including restrictions around the A52 Barrowby junction near Grantham.
Closer to Nottinghamshire, overnight maintenance is scheduled on the A453 southbound towards M1 junction 23A, together with a closure of the southbound entry slip near Ratcliffe-on-Soar, between 20:00 tonight and 06:00 Thursday.
