Nottinghamshire weather for Monday 2 March

A dry and increasingly bright start to the working week is expected on Monday, with plenty of sunshine through the day before cloud gradually returns during the evening.

Early morning
It will be a calm and dry start with variable cloud and some early sunny intervals developing after sunrise. The chance of rain remains very low at below five per cent throughout the morning. Temperatures begin around 9C, with a light southerly breeze at 10 to 12mph and gusts reaching the mid-20mph range.

Midday
Sunny conditions become more established through late morning and into midday, with clear skies for a time. Temperatures rise steadily to around 12C to 13C, making it feel noticeably milder than recent days. Winds remain from the south at around 13mph, with occasional gusts close to 28mph.

Afternoon
The afternoon looks largely bright and settled, with prolonged sunshine and only small amounts of cloud developing later. Daytime highs reach around 15C by mid-afternoon. Southerly winds continue at 13 to 14mph, maintaining mild conditions across the area with gusts approaching 29mph.

Evening
Cloud cover gradually increases into the evening, although conditions are expected to stay mainly dry with only a small chance of isolated showers later on. Temperatures fall from around 14C at 5pm to near 9C by late evening. Winds ease slightly and turn south-westerly at around 7 to 10mph, leading to a mild but cloudier end to the day.
