Nottinghamshire weather for Monday 9 March

A largely cloudy but mild day is expected on Monday 9 March, with some mist early in the morning, occasional brighter spells later in the afternoon and a small chance of light rain during the evening.

EARLY MORNING
The day will begin cloudy with some mist possible around dawn. Temperatures will start at around 8°C and remain fairly steady through the early morning hours. Winds will be light from the south at around 5 mph, with occasional gusts between 10 and 12 mph. The chance of rain remains low at around 10 per cent.

MIDDAY
Cloud will continue to dominate through the late morning and midday period, although conditions remain largely dry. Temperatures will gradually rise from around 9°C late morning to approximately 12°C by midday. Winds shift slightly to south-south-westerly at around 5 to 6 mph, with gusts reaching around 15 mph. Rainfall risk remains around 10 per cent.

AFTERNOON
The afternoon may see a few brighter spells developing, with some breaks in the cloud possible. Temperatures will reach around 14°C by mid-afternoon, making it feel mild for early March. Winds continue from the south-south-west at around 6 to 7 mph, with gusts near 15 to 16 mph. The chance of rain stays relatively low at around 10 to 20 per cent.

EVENING
Cloud will thicken again into the evening with a slightly increased chance of light rain or drizzle. Temperatures will fall gradually from around 14°C late afternoon to about 10°C by late evening. Winds remain light from the south to south-south-west at around 5 to 7 mph, with gusts reaching around 13 to 14 mph. Overall conditions remain mild and mostly cloudy overnight.
