Nottinghamshire weather for Saturday 11 July

Saturday 11 July is forecast to be warm, dry and sunny for much of the day, with temperatures reaching the high 20s during the afternoon.

The chance of rain remains below 5% throughout, with a cooler but still settled evening expected.

Early morning

Saturday will start dry with some early sunshine and a little cloud around at times. Temperatures are expected to be around 16C at 5am, rising to 17C by 6am, 18C by 7am and 19C by 8am.

Winds will come from the north-east or east-north-east at around 4mph to 5mph, with gusts between 11mph and 16mph. Visibility will be good at first, improving to very good through the morning.

Humidity will be high early on, around 89% at 5am and 90% by 6am, before slowly falling as the morning progresses. Rain is not expected, with the chance of precipitation staying below 5%.

Midday

The late morning and lunchtime period will stay dry and mostly sunny. Temperatures are forecast to rise from 22C at 10am to 24C by 11am and 26C by midday.

Winds will remain from the north-east or east-north-east, increasing slightly to around 6mph to 7mph, with gusts reaching around 21mph to 22mph by late morning and lunchtime.

Humidity will fall to around 53% by midday, and visibility will remain very good. UV levels will become high, reaching 6 by 11am and 7 at midday, so sun protection is advisable for anyone spending time outdoors.

Afternoon

Saturday afternoon is expected to be warm, bright and dry, with long sunny spells. Temperatures are forecast to reach 27C at 1pm and 2pm, before peaking at around 28C by 3pm. It may ease slightly to around 27C by 4pm.

The “feels like” temperature is expected to be around 26C to 27C during the afternoon. Winds will continue from the north-east or east-north-east at around 7mph to 9mph, with gusts around 24mph to 26mph.

Humidity will stay relatively low, around 40% to 42% through the afternoon, and visibility will remain very good. UV levels will remain high early in the afternoon, reaching 7 between midday and 2pm, before easing later.

Evening

The evening will stay dry, with sunshine continuing into the early evening before cloudier spells develop later.

Temperatures are expected to be around 27C at 5pm, falling to 26C by 6pm, 24C by 7pm and 22C by 8pm. It will become cooler later in the evening, with temperatures dropping to 20C by 9pm, 19C by 10pm and 18C by 11pm.

Winds will remain from the east-north-east or north-east at around 9mph, with gusts generally between 22mph and 26mph. Visibility will remain very good throughout the evening.

Humidity will rise from around 42% at 5pm to 76% by 11pm. The chance of rain remains below 5%, so conditions should stay dry overnight.
