Nottinghamshire weather for Saturday 15 August

Saturday 15 August is forecast to be warm, mostly dry and brighter through the day, with temperatures reaching around 25C during the late afternoon. There is a small chance of rain early in the morning and again late in the evening, but most of the day should stay dry.

Early morning

Saturday will start mild with cloud and some brighter spells. Temperatures are expected to be around 18C at 5am, falling slightly to 17C at 6am and 7am, before rising to 18C by 8am.

There is a 10% chance of rain at 5am and 6am, but this falls below 5% from 7am onwards.

Winds will come from the north at around 6mph, with gusts between around 16mph and 19mph. Visibility will remain very good.

Humidity will be fairly high early on, around 66% at 5am, easing slightly to 64% by 8am.

Midday

Late morning and lunchtime will stay mostly dry, with bright spells and some cloud.

Temperatures are forecast to rise from 19C at 10am to 20C by 11am and 21C by midday. The “feels like” temperature will be very similar, around 19C to 21C.

Winds will remain light to moderate from the north, around 3mph to 5mph, with gusts between around 13mph and 17mph.

Visibility will remain very good. Humidity will fall from around 57% at 10am to 43% by midday. UV levels will rise to moderate levels, reaching around 5 to 6 late in the morning and around lunchtime.

Afternoon

The afternoon is expected to be warm, dry and bright, with sunny intervals and some cloud.

Temperatures are forecast to reach 22C by 1pm, 23C by 2pm, 24C by 3pm and around 25C by 4pm and 5pm.

The “feels like” temperature will be close to the actual temperature, reaching around 24C to 25C during the warmest part of the day.

Winds will stay light, mainly from the north or north-north-west at around 2mph to 3mph, before becoming slightly stronger later. Gusts are expected to range from around 9mph to 13mph.

Visibility will remain very good, while humidity will stay around 40% to 41%. The chance of rain remains below 5% through the afternoon.

Evening

The evening will remain mostly dry, with sunny intervals at first before clearer spells and then some cloud later.

Temperatures are expected to ease from around 25C at 5pm to 24C by 6pm and 7pm, then 22C by 8pm. It will turn cooler later, falling to 20C by 9pm, 19C by 10pm and 18C by 11pm.

Winds will come from the north-north-west or north-west, generally around 3mph to 7mph. Gusts may reach around 21mph during the early evening before easing later.

Visibility will remain very good throughout. Humidity will rise from around 40% early in the evening to 57% by 11pm.

The chance of rain remains below 5% for most of the evening, briefly rising to around 10% at 10pm.
