A north-westerly wind of around 11 to 12 mph will add to the chill, with gusts reaching 23 to 25 mph, making it a cold start for anyone heading out early.

Midday
Through the late morning and into midday, sunshine will dominate with clear skies and excellent visibility. Temperatures will gradually recover to around 0°C by late morning and reach approximately 1°C by midday. Winds will remain from the north-west at around 11 to 12 mph, with gusts strengthening to around 29 to 30 mph at times. Despite the brighter conditions, it will continue to feel cold, with apparent temperatures remaining near -4°C.

Afternoon
The afternoon will stay dry and sunny, with little cloud and no risk of rain. Temperatures are expected to peak at around 2°C during the early afternoon before slowly easing later in the day. The brisk north-westerly wind will persist at around 11 to 12 mph, although gusts will gradually ease from their midday peak. Feels-like temperatures will remain around -3°C, meaning it will continue to feel wintry even in sheltered areas.

Evening
As daylight fades, temperatures will fall steadily, dropping to around 1°C by late afternoon and close to 0°C by early evening. Skies will remain clear and dry throughout the evening, allowing temperatures to dip below freezing later on. Winds will ease slightly to around 8 to 9 mph from the west-north-west, with gusts around 19 to 21 mph. Feels-like temperatures will fall back to around -6°C, bringing a renewed risk of frost and icy patches developing overnight.
