A largely dry but cloudy day is expected on Saturday 7 March, with cool temperatures through the morning and slightly milder conditions developing later in the afternoon before a calm and settled evening.
EARLY MORNING
The day will begin overcast with little sunshine expected during the early hours. Temperatures will start at around 5°C to 6°C, feeling cool in a light easterly breeze of around 3 mph with occasional gusts between 5 and 8 mph. The chance of rain remains relatively low at around 10 per cent, and visibility will remain good.
MIDDAY
Cloud will continue to dominate through the late morning and midday period. Temperatures will gradually rise from around 7°C in the late morning to about 9°C by midday. Winds will remain light from the east to east-south-east at around 3 mph, with gusts increasing slightly towards 10 mph. The chance of rain briefly increases to around 20 per cent around midday, though most areas are expected to stay dry.
AFTERNOON
The afternoon remains mostly cloudy but dry, with temperatures reaching around 10°C by mid to late afternoon. Winds turn slightly south-easterly at around 3 to 4 mph, remaining light with gusts close to 10 mph. Rainfall risk drops again to below five to ten per cent for much of the afternoon.
EVENING
Cloudy conditions will continue into the evening with dry weather expected. Temperatures will gradually fall from around 10°C late afternoon to about 8°C by late evening. Winds remain light from the south-east to east-south-east at around 5 mph, with occasional gusts close to 9 to 10 mph. Overall, it will remain calm and settled overnight.
