Nottinghamshire weather for Tuesday 21 July

Tuesday 21 July is forecast to be largely dry and settled, with bright or sunny spells through much of the day and temperatures reaching around 25C by late afternoon.

The chance of rain remains below 5% throughout.

Early morning

Tuesday will begin dry with sunny spells and some cloud around. Temperatures are expected to be around 14C at 6am, rising to 15C by 7am and 16C by 8am.

Winds will be very light, mainly from the north-north-east or north-east at around 2mph. Gusts are expected to stay modest, between around 7mph and 9mph.

Visibility will be very good, while humidity will be fairly high early on, around 78% at 6am, easing to 75% by 7am and 73% by 8am. Rain is not expected.

Midday

Late morning and lunchtime will stay dry, with sunny intervals continuing. Temperatures are forecast to rise from 19C at 10am to 20C by 11am and 22C by midday.

The “feels like” temperature will be similar, reaching around 22C by lunchtime. Winds will remain very light, turning from north-north-east to northerly and north-north-westerly at around 2mph.

Gusts are expected to remain around 9mph. Visibility will stay very good, while humidity will fall to around 55% by midday. UV levels will become high, reaching 6 by 11am and 7 at midday, so sun protection is advisable for anyone spending time outdoors.

Afternoon

The afternoon is expected to be warm, bright and dry, with sunny spells and some cloud at times. Temperatures are forecast to reach around 22C at 1pm, 24C by 2pm and 3pm, and around 25C by 4pm.

The “feels like” temperature will be around 23C to 25C during the afternoon. Winds will remain light, mainly from the north or north-north-west at around 2mph to 3mph, with gusts generally between 9mph and 13mph.

Visibility will remain very good, while humidity will fall to around 41% by late afternoon. UV levels will remain high early in the afternoon, around 7 at 1pm, before easing later.

Evening

The evening will stay dry, with sunny spells at first before cloudier spells develop later.

Temperatures are expected to remain around 25C at 5pm, 6pm and 7pm, before easing to 24C by 8pm. It will become cooler later, falling to around 23C by 9pm, 20C by 10pm and 18C by 11pm.

Winds will come mainly from the north-north-west during the early evening, at around 3mph to 6mph, before turning east-north-easterly later. Gusts may reach around 16mph early in the evening before easing to around 11mph by 11pm.

Visibility will remain very good throughout. Humidity will rise from around 41% in the early evening to 66% by 11pm. The chance of rain remains below 5% throughout.
