Nottinghamshire weather for Tuesday 4 August

Tuesday 4 August is forecast to be warm and mostly dry, with sunshine through the morning before more cloud develops later.

Temperatures are expected to reach around 27C during the afternoon, with a higher chance of showers from the afternoon into the evening.

Early morning

Tuesday will begin mild and dry, with sunny spells through the early part of the day. Temperatures are expected to be around 16C at 6am, rising to 17C by 7am, 18C by 8am and 21C by 9am.

Winds will be light at first, coming from the east, east-south-east and south-south-east at around 2mph to 3mph. Gusts are expected to stay low early on, generally around 9mph to 13mph.

Visibility will be good at first, becoming very good by around 8am. Humidity will be high early on, around 92% at 6am, before falling to 67% by 9am. The chance of rain remains below 5% through the early morning.

Midday

Late morning and lunchtime will be warm and bright, with sunshine and some cloud developing.

Temperatures are forecast to rise from 23C at 10am to 25C by 11am and 26C by midday. The “feels like” temperature will be similar, around 23C to 26C.

The chance of rain stays below 5% at 11am, then rises slightly to around 10% by midday. Winds will turn south-westerly, increasing to around 5mph to 7mph, with gusts reaching around 19mph to 25mph.

Visibility will remain very good. Humidity will fall to around 44% by midday. UV levels will become high, reaching 6 by late morning and around lunchtime.

Afternoon

The afternoon is expected to be warm and partly cloudy, with sunny spells but a greater chance of showers than earlier in the day.

Temperatures are forecast to reach around 27C from 1pm through to 5pm. The “feels like” temperature will be around 26C to 28C during the afternoon.

The chance of rain is around 20% from 1pm to 3pm, rising to around 30% by 5pm. Winds will come mainly from the south-west or south-south-west at around 8mph to 9mph, with gusts around 26mph to 28mph.

Visibility will remain very good, while humidity will stay relatively low, around 38% to 46%. UV levels will remain moderate to high early in the afternoon before easing later.

Evening

The evening will remain warm but more changeable, with sunny intervals and cloud. The chance of rain is around 20% from 6pm to 8pm, then around 10% later in the evening.

Temperatures are expected to fall from around 26C at 6pm and 7pm to 24C by 8pm. It will remain mild later, dropping to 23C by 9pm, 22C by 10pm and 21C by 11pm.

Winds will come from the south-west at around 8mph to 9mph. Gusts will ease gradually from around 28mph early in the evening to around 21mph by 11pm.

Visibility will remain very good throughout. Humidity will rise from around 48% at 6pm to about 65% by late evening.
