Nottinghamshire weather for Wednesday 1 July

Wednesday 1 July is expected to be warm and mostly dry, with sunny spells early in the day before more cloud develops later.

Temperatures will reach around 22°C during the afternoon and early evening, with high UV levels around late morning and lunchtime.

Early morning

The day will start mild and mainly dry, with temperatures around 15°C at 5am, rising to 16°C at 6am and 7am, then 17°C by 8am. The chance of rain remains below 5%.

Winds will come from the west to west-north-west at around 5 to 6 mph, with gusts increasing from about 10 mph to 15 mph. UV levels will be low, rising from 1 to 2 by 8am.

Midday

Late morning and lunchtime will stay mostly dry, with sunny spells and some cloud. Temperatures will rise from 19°C at 9am and 10am to 20°C by 11am and 21°C at midday. The chance of rain remains below 5% at 9am, then rises to around 20% at 10am and 30% at 11am, before falling to 10% by midday.

Winds will come from the west-north-west at around 7 to 9 mph, with gusts reaching about 20 mph. UV levels will rise from 4 at 9am and 10am to 6 by 11am and midday.

Afternoon

The afternoon is expected to be warm and mostly dry, although cloud may build at times. Temperatures will reach 21°C at 1pm, then 22°C from 2pm through to 6pm.

The chance of rain is around 10% from 1pm to 3pm, then 20% at 4pm and 10% by 5pm. Winds will turn mainly westerly at around 9 to 10 mph, with gusts close to 20 to 22 mph. UV levels will remain high at 6 around 1pm, before easing to 5 at 2pm and 3pm, 3 at 4pm and 2 by 5pm.

Evening

The evening will remain mild and mostly dry, with cloud and some brighter spells before clearer skies later. Temperatures will stay around 22°C at 5pm, 6pm and 7pm, then ease to 21°C at 8pm and 9pm, 19°C at 10pm and 11pm.

The chance of rain is around 10% at 5pm, then below 5% from 6pm to 8pm, rising slightly to 10% at 9pm, falling below 5% at 10pm and returning to 10% by 11pm. Winds will come from the west to west-south-west, later turning south-westerly, at around 9 to 11 mph, with gusts increasing to about 26 mph by late evening. UV levels will fall from 2 at 5pm to 1 during the evening before fading after sunset.
