Nottinghamshire weather for Wednesday 29 July

Wednesday 29 July is forecast to be dry, warm and increasingly sunny, with temperatures climbing quickly through the morning and reaching around 29C during the afternoon and early evening.

The chance of rain remains below 5% throughout the day.

Early morning

Wednesday will begin mild and dry, with sunny spells developing early in the day. Temperatures are expected to be around 17C at 6am, rising to 18C by 7am and 20C by 8am.

Winds will be light, coming from the south-west and west-south-west at around 2mph. Gusts are expected to stay low, between around 8mph and 9mph.

Visibility will be good at first, becoming very good from around 7am. Humidity will be high early on, around 86% at 6am, falling to around 76% by 8am. Rain is not expected.

Midday

Late morning and lunchtime will stay dry and bright, with sunny spells and some cloud at times.

Temperatures are forecast to rise from 23C at 10am to 25C by 11am and 26C by midday. The “feels like” temperature will be similar, reaching around 26C by lunchtime.

Winds will remain from the west-south-west at around 3mph to 5mph, with gusts increasing from around 13mph to 19mph by midday.

Visibility will remain very good, while humidity will fall to around 51% by midday. UV levels will become high, reaching 6 by 11am and 7 at midday, so sun protection is advisable for anyone spending time outdoors.

Afternoon

The afternoon is expected to be warm, dry and bright, with sunny intervals and some cloud around.

Temperatures are forecast to reach 27C by 1pm, 28C by 2pm and around 29C by 3pm and 4pm. The “feels like” temperature will be close to the actual temperature, around 27C to 29C.

Winds will come from the west-south-west at around 7mph, with gusts around 21mph to 22mph. Visibility will stay very good.

Humidity will remain relatively low, around 39% to 42%, and the chance of rain will stay below 5%. UV levels will remain high early in the afternoon before easing later.

Evening

The evening will remain dry and warm, with sunny spells at first before clear conditions develop later.

Temperatures are expected to be around 29C at 5pm, falling to 28C by 6pm, 27C by 7pm and 26C by 8pm. It will remain mild later in the evening, dropping to 24C by 9pm, 22C by 10pm and 21C by 11pm.

Winds will turn from westerly to west-north-westerly during the evening, generally around 6mph to 8mph. Gusts are expected to ease from around 23mph early in the evening to around 14mph by 11pm.

Visibility will remain very good throughout. Humidity will rise from around 39% early in the evening to 64% by 11pm. The chance of rain remains below 5% throughout.
