Winds will turn more north-westerly and strengthen slightly to around 12 to 13 mph, with gusts increasing to around 28 to 30 mph, particularly in more exposed areas.

The afternoon will remain bright and dry, with continued spells of sunshine and excellent visibility. Temperatures are expected to hold steady at around 2°C through the early to mid-afternoon before beginning to dip later on. Despite the sunshine, the persistent breeze will maintain a sharp chill, with feels-like values staying around -2°C. North-westerly winds of around 12 mph will gradually ease later in the afternoon, with gusts dropping back into the mid-20s mph.
Evening
As daylight fades, temperatures will quickly fall back towards freezing. By early evening, values are expected to drop to around 0°C, falling to -1°C later in the evening.
