The rain continues without interruption, still at a greater than 95 per cent chance. Temperatures will reach only 9C, but the strengthening north-easterly wind, rising to around 19–20mph with gusts over 30mph, will make conditions feel significantly colder, closer to 4–5C. Humidity remains high at around 93 per cent. Visibility will stay generally poor to moderate in the heavier bursts.
Afternoon
There is no improvement during the afternoon, with persistent rainfall and the chance of heavy pulses remaining extremely high. The temperature holds at 8–9C but the strong north-easterly breeze, continuing at 20–21mph, keeps it feeling closer to 3–4C. Humidity stays at around 93 per cent, and the grey, wet conditions will dominate the remainder of the daylight hours.
Evening
Rain continues well into the evening with a more than 95 per cent likelihood still in place. Temperatures remain steady at around 8C with a real-feel closer to 4C. Winds will gradually ease slightly later in the evening, falling back to around 19–20mph, but conditions remain cold, damp and unpleasant throughout. Humidity stays near 93 per cent.
