Nottinghamshire weather forecast Friday 21 November

Friday will be another icy, bright and crisp winter day with freezing conditions early and late, plenty of sunshine, and only a very slow thaw during the afternoon.

The weather forecast for Friday 21 November in Nottinghamshire.

Early morning
Temperatures at dawn sit at or just below freezing, around 0C from 5am through 8am, with real-feel values between –2C and –3C. Skies are clear throughout the early morning with less than a five per cent chance of any precipitation. Winds are very light from the north-west or west-north-west at 3–5mph. Humidity remains high at around 90–91 per cent, meaning frost and ice are likely on untreated surfaces. Visibility is very good.

Midday
Clear sunshine continues through late morning and lunchtime. Temperatures rise slowly to around 2–3C by midday, but feel close to 0C due to a light westerly breeze at 3mph. Humidity gradually falls to the mid-80s by late morning. Conditions remain dry, bright and crisp, with very good visibility.

Afternoon
Sunny spells persist throughout the afternoon and temperatures reach their modest peak of 4–5C by around 2–3pm. Real-feel values hover between 2–3C, still cold due to the light westerly or west-south-westerly breeze at 4–5mph. Humidity falls further towards the mid-70s. Despite the sunshine, frost may linger in shaded and north-facing areas due to the low November sun angle.

Evening
Skies remain clear from sunset into the night, allowing temperatures to fall rapidly once more. By 6pm temperatures drop to 2C and by late evening remain around 0C, with real-feel values back to around –1C. Winds remain light from the south-south-west at 3–4mph. Humidity rises again into the high 80s, and another widespread frost is expected to form.
