Early morning
The day starts wet and overcast. From 6am to around 9am there is a high chance of rain, with probabilities between 60 and 70 per cent and outbreaks of light to occasionally moderate rain. Temperatures remain mild at around 10C, but it feels cooler at closer to 8C due to a steady southerly breeze of around 11 to 12mph.
Midday
Late morning sees gradual improvement. From around 10am to midday the risk of rain drops from 40 per cent to around 30 per cent, with showers becoming lighter and more intermittent. Cloud remains dominant, but some brighter spells begin to develop. Temperatures edge up to around 11C, with southerly winds continuing at 11 to 12mph.
Afternoon
The afternoon is milder and largely drier. From midday through to around 3pm temperatures peak at around 12C, feeling closer to 9C in the breeze. Cloud breaks allow occasional sunny intervals, particularly early in the afternoon. Rain becomes unlikely, with only a small chance of an isolated light shower.
Evening
Cloud thickens again during the evening, with the chance of rain returning later on. From 5pm onwards rain probabilities increase from around 30 per cent to closer to 50 or 60 per cent by late evening. Temperatures ease slightly to around 10C, remaining mild overnight. .
