Early morning
The day begins wet, with rain expected throughout the early hours and into the morning. Between 5am and 8am the likelihood of rain remains around 70 per cent. Temperatures sit close to 8C, feeling nearer 5C in a southerly wind of 11 to 12mph. Visibility is generally good and humidity is high at around 92 per cent. By 8am and 9am some short-lived brighter intervals emerge, but showers continue with rain probabilities still between 60 and 70 per cent.

Midday
Showers persist into the late morning and lunchtime period. Between 10am and 1pm temperatures rise to around 9C or 10C, feeling closer to 7C or 8C. Winds strengthen slightly from the south-south-west and then the south-west at around 12mph. Rainfall chances fluctuate between 60 and 80 per cent, with brief sunny spells in between.

Afternoon
The afternoon continues with occasional showers. From 1pm to 3pm, temperatures reach 10C to 11C and winds remain steady at around 12mph from the south-west. Rain chances stay high, close to 70 per cent at times, although some brighter breaks may still appear.

Evening
From late afternoon onwards, the weather gradually improves. Between 4pm and 6pm there is still a significant risk of showers, with rain probabilities between 60 and 70 per cent, and temperatures around 10C or 11C. After 7pm the chance of rainfall drops noticeably, falling to 50 per cent by 7pm, 20 per cent by 8pm, and close to zero later in the evening. Skies become mostly cloudy but drier, with temperatures easing back to 9C by 11pm.
