Coastal areas may start dry, however cloud and outbreaks of rain affecting the west edging slowly east, reaching all areas before midday. Some heavier bursts at times, particularly over the Peak District, but the rain becoming lighter and patchy later. Maximum temperature 17 °C.
Tonight:
Staying cloudy overnight with some patchy coastal mist and hill fog. Residual rain will tend to peter out into the odd spot of light rain or drizzle. Minimum temperature 12 °C.
Wednesday:
Patchy low cloud and mist or fog will continue to affect some coasts. Elsewhere, generally rather cloudy conditions are likely to prevail with occasional showery rain at times. Maximum temperature 19 °C.
Outlook for Thursday to Saturday:
Areas of low cloud, mist and fog likely affecting some coastal areas. Otherwise, often rather cloudy with showers at times, perhaps heavy and thundery. Some brighter, warmer spells as well.
