Nottinghamshire Fire and Rescue Service trained at Wollaton Hall in ‘Exercise Dark Knight’
The fire service explained the need for training like this:
‘We were at Wollaton Hall tonight as we are conducting a training exercise.
‘As a key heritage site in the county, we have special plans in place for an incident at places like Wollaton Hall this will be part of what we are testing.’
Firefighters are setting up water from the emergency water tank at the front of the hallwhile other pumps set up a water relay from the lake.
Stretching from the lake to Wollaton Hall firefighters have set up a water relay, which is carrying water up the hill through four pumps.
The exercise has now finished (ENDEX ENDEX) and the ‘fire’ has been extinguished.
