In March 2020, volunteers from Nottinghamshire Fire and Rescue Service (NFRS) stepped up to assist East Midlands Ambulance Service (EMAS) with support for its Urgent Care function.
Since then, those volunteers have completed 373 shifts with EMAS and have transported 1,239 patients.
Arrangements have now been put in place for this support to continue until 30 April 2021.
NFRS is delighted to be able to continue to assist EMAS to help fight the COVID-19 pandemic.
You can watch the YouTube video below to see what the volunteers have been doing to support EMAS through these challenging times.
