A Nottinghamshire crime suspect has been extradited from Dubai to face charges of alleged firearms, drugs and money laundering offences.
Craig Moran, aged 38, was extradited yesterday from the United Arab Emirates (UAE) following the work of detectives from Nottingham.
Nottinghamshire Police worked with national and international agencies in the Middle East to bring Mr Moran back to the UK.
He appeared today before Nottingham Magistrates’ Court charged with a number of offences.
- Conspiracy to sell/transfer a prohibited weapon/ammunition
- Conspire to supply a class A drug
- Conspire to conceal/disguise/convert/transfer/remove criminal property
All offences are alleged to have taken place between 31 July 2017 and 11 March 2019.
He will next appear before a judge sitting at the Crown Court in Nottingham, on 5 August 2020.
DCI Rich Bull, from Nottinghamshire Police, said: “We thank the UAE authorities for their assistance and co-operation in this matter.
“He has appeared in court today and has now been remanded into custody to await trial.”
He added as the case involving Mr Moran was now active there must be no reporting or commentary about this case, either in the mainstream media or on social media, as this may jeopardise any future court proceedings.
