As they were first to recruit for the new Police Constable Degree Apprenticeship (PCDA), they were keen to share their experiences with other forces about to embark on undertaking the PCDA.

Around seventy representatives from other forces attended the event held at the City Hall.

The PCDA offers the opportunity for individuals to join as police officers and earn a degree from the University of Derby in Policing Professional Practice during their three year training period.

The force welcomed their first PCDA officers into the force on the 7 of September 2018.

During the event other forces heard about how Nottinghamshire approached Procurement, Recruitment and Attraction, Programme Development and Contracting.

They also had the opportunity to ask questions from four of the PCDA officers. Feedback from the attendees said that they found the event informative and insightful.
