Nottinghamshire Police wants to recruit talented people with a diverse range of skills and experience who are committed to making a difference to the lives of people in Nottinghamshire.

Chief Constable Sue Fish said: “Nottinghamshire Police’s vision is to be the best police Force in England and Wales and we are looking for the very best to join Nottinghamshire Police and I would encourage anyone looking for an exciting new challenge to apply.

“As a Force we want to be representative of the people we serve and we welcome recruits from every sector of the community.”

“Recruiting from the widest pool of people will mean we recruit individuals who can speak other languages, understand other cultures and lifestyles and are willing to use those skills to the benefit of the community and Nottinghamshire Police.”

“A more diverse workforce will build trust and confidence across all communities, and we welcome applications from anyone who is interested in a career with the police.”

The Police Constable recruitment follows the Force’s recruitment of Police Investigation Officers, with the aim of filling 80 vacancies by March 2018, and PCSO recruitment in November 2016.

Nottinghamshire’s Police and Crime Commissioner Paddy Tipping said: “We all benefit from this richly diverse multi-cultural society which is why we are seeking applications from across all our communities during this recruitment round.

“The last time we recruited we saw a welcome increase in applications from the black and Asian community and I want to build on this to take the force another step closer to a workforce that is truly representative of the community it is here to serve.”
