The Notts Street Food Festival is to return to Trent Bridge over the August Bank Holiday weekend – the event’s fifth staging at the venue.
On Sunday 25 August, the home of Nottinghamshire County Cricket Club will welcome 20 of the city and county’s most celebrated independent food traders to its concourses, with cuisine ranging from South American to Asian available.
The culinary offerings will be complemented by live music performances in the venue’s Trent Bridge Inn Courtyard.
Ticket prices for the event have been frozen at £6 for adults and £3 for juniors, and are available to buy now, at trentbridge.co.uk/streetfood
“Trent Bridge has been an ideal venue for us, giving us a unique setting that’s full of character and allowing us the space to grow and develop our offering,” said Nathaniel Wilson, Creative Director of Notts Street Food.
“From live cricket to firework displays, we’ve really enjoyed the opportunity to add a little extra to our festivals, and we know that a live musical soundtrack will provide a great accompaniment on this occasion.
“But the star of the show is the food, without doubt. Our favourite stallholders have jumped at the chance to return to Trent Bridge, and they’ll be pulling out all the stops again this time.”
Notts Street Food’s most recent visit to Trent Bridge saw over 4,000 patrons enjoy food, live entertainment and top-tier women’s cricket, as The Blaze played their first fixture of the summer in West Bridgford.
Last year, the venue hosted a sold-out street food and fireworks evening, along with two standalone Bank Holiday weekend festivals.
For this edition of the event, visitors will be able to choose from two entry times – 11am and 4pm – on Sunday 25 August, as the festival expands to a ten-hour running time.
“Over the past two summers, our street food events have proven popular with Trent Bridge regulars and new visitors alike,” said Nottinghamshire’s Commercial Director Michael Temple.
“We’re blessed with one of the finest courtyards in the parish, and we’re sure it will again provide the perfect setting for our area’s finest food stalls and up-and-coming performers.
“The expanded opening hours will give our guests a little more time to take in the tastes on offer and explore the nooks and crannies of our concourses, and I can’t wait to see how Nathaniel and the team bring the event to life.”
