NQ64 Retro arcade bar to open in Nottingham this spring

Designed as an immersive space for both gamers and party-goers, the venue promises to be a vibrant new addition to the city’s nightlife scene.

This spring, retro arcade bar NQ64 is set to arrive in Nottingham, bringing a perfect blend of classic gaming nostalgia, neon décor, and an extensive cocktail menu.

Located in the former Roxy Ballroom site on Thurland Street, NQ64’s latest venue will feature unique gaming elements that make it stand out from the crowd. With a capacity of 300 and open until 2 am daily, the arcade bar is poised to become the go-to spot for those seeking late-night fun and games.

A brand-new drinks menu will debut at NQ64 Nottingham, featuring a mix of fan favourites and exciting new creations. Highlights include the indulgent ‘Peach on the Beach’, a twist on the classic; the rum-based ‘Quick Revive’; and the refreshing, gin-infused ‘Kirby’. Guests can explore the full range of cocktails on the bar’s eye-catching UV-reactive menus.

Whether you’re a casual gamer or chasing a high score, NQ64’s impressive line-up of games will have something for everyone, including:

Crowd pleasers: Dance Stage, Basketball, Guitar Hero, and the wildly popular Mario Kart and Outrun.
Shooters: Time Crisis 2 & 3, House of the Dead, Jurassic Park, and Rambo.
Arcade classics: Pac-Man, Space Invaders, Donkey Kong, Tetris, The Simpsons, and more.
Fighters: Mortal Kombat, Street Fighter, Tekken, and Killer Instinct.

Plus, there’ll be pinball machines, retro consoles, and NQ64’s original Wall Boy feature.

Matt Robson, director of NQ64, comments on the launch:
“Nottingham, we’re grafting behind the scenes to get ready for you! After heading over for some boozy market research, it’s clear the hospitality scene in Nottingham is on the up. We really want to be part of it and offer a slice of something slightly different. We are fortunate to be taking over a historic venue that has housed a variety of offerings. Now it’s our turn to transform the site. The space is vast, which excites me for filling it with one of our biggest selections of arcade machines and neon art creations.”

This is the 12th bar opened by NQ64, with other sites in Leeds, Birmingham, Bristol, Cardiff, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Liverpool, Manchester, Newcastle, and London.
