Numerous roads closed in Arnold after motorcyclist suffers serious injuries in collision

A motorcyclist has suffered serious injuries in a collision which has led to numerous roads in Arnold being closed.

Nottinghamshire Police was called at around 3.15pm on Monday (7 June 2021) following a report that a motorbike collided with a van.

It’s believed the person has serious injuries and is being treated at the scene.

The A60 has been closed in both directions between the Redhill roundabout and the bottom of Burnt Stump Hill and is unlikely to open for some time as investigation work is carried out at the scene.

Sergeant Iain Blackstock, of Nottinghamshire Police, said: “The roads near to the incident remains closed and officers are now investigating the incident.  I’d ask that drivers avoid the area until the road has been reopened.

“Anyone who witnessed the incident is asked to contact Nottinghamshire Police on 101 quoting incident number 457 of 7 June 2021.”
