Off-road bikes seized in Nottingham after ‘Mexican stand-off’

Police in Nottingham sized the bikes after ‘illegal activity’ on the streets.

A PCSO at the Nottinghamshire Police Bulwell, Rise Park and Highbury Vale neighbourhood policing team said:

‘We have conducted an off-road bike operation today and after what was described to me as a Mexican stand off on Raymede Drive by the off-road bike team these two bikes were seized from the riders.

‘So now these riders have lost their bikes due to their illegal activity on a road.

‘Just to make you aware more positive action will be taken in the very near future.

‘Lads, just to make you aware my official job title is Police Community Support Officer or if that’s too much of a mouthful for you in short I’m a PCSO.

‘I’m not a warden or community warden or fake fed.’
