During patrols in Newark earlier this week, two young men on an off-road motorbike unfortunately bumped into two of our officers.
During their panic to escape, the helmet and goggles in this photo were dropped and seized.
The Newark team also seized a quad and motorcycle (pictured) being ridden across farmland and on a highway, both of which are illegal and dangerous.

Neighbourhood Inspector Heather Sutton said: “We do not tolerate off-road motorcycling as it causes such issues for the local community; destroying farmers crops, damaging land, riding and driving dangerously.
“Furthermore, it does not constitute an essential journey and it’s so irresponsible that these people are going out and about and continuing to put others at risk.
We have a very active operation in place targeting off-road bikers, and we have even more eyes on these issues while we actively increase patrols as a result of the Coronavirus.”
