A Nottingham-based recruitment consultancy has moved into its new office, which will enable it to house more specialist recruitment consultants under one roof than anywhere else in the city.
Macildowie, which also operates across Leicester, Milton Keynes, Derby and Northampton, has now moved to its new premises on the sixth floor of Waterfront House on Station Street, Nottingham, which is nearly double the size of the company’s previous headquarters on Castle Gate.
James Taylor, managing director of Macildowie, explained that the new office would allow the company to continue its ambitious growth plans.
He said: “As well as providing an incredible 360° panoramic view of Nottingham, our new headquarters will allow us to expand our offering to our customers and staff even further. We now have 11 meeting rooms, enabling us to meet more candidates face to face than ever before, as well as giving us the space to run more of our Macildowie One recruitment processes on behalf of our clients.
“Because of this, we’re particularly excited about our new Macildowie One room, which is my favourite space at Waterfront House! The exclusive Macildowie One programme streamlines recruitment for clients into a single day, meaning all they have to do is meet the carefully selected candidates and make a final decision. This programme has been incredibly popular since its launch, so we’re excited to have a purpose designed space for it to go from strength to strength.
“We also now provide a dedicated space to host more of our award-winning LinkedIn workshops and Mindmill psychometric assessments, as well as training and academy events, looking at issues including GDPR, social media and personal branding.”
Macildowie is celebrating its 25-year anniversary this year, and James added that he always wanted the company to remain in Nottingham city centre.
He said: “It was never in doubt that we would continue to operate out of the city, we have a loyal customer base here and Nottingham is a major part of our heritage. Station Street is a fantastic spot for our headquarters, there is already a huge amount of development in the area and it has great transport links, being situated next-door to the railway station and tram connections. We couldn’t be better placed to continue our growth.”
The company employed 35 new members of staff across all of its offices in 2017, with a further seven who have already started in January. Among them is Cassie Mallon, who joins as a divisional manager for Macildowie’s HR team.
James said: “It’s great to welcome more supremely talented people to our team. We are now able to house more recruitment consultants under one roof than anywhere else in the city and our aim is to reach the milestone of 100 Macildowie employees across all of our offices by the end of this year. This relocation has involved a lot of consultation with our staff to improve their working environment and this investment in our team reflects the confidence we have in them.”
Macildowie continues to be nominated for global and national awards for the quality of its customer service, client and candidate value proposition, and for its internal training and development. As well as appearing in the Sunday Times Best Small Companies to Work For list in 2017, Macildowie also received the coveted 3-star ‘extraordinary’ accreditation for a fifth consecutive time from the nationally-recognised Best Companies Engagement survey.
