Officers arrest Nottingham pair on suspicion of firearms offence after executing warrant

Police have arrested two suspects after executing a warrant at an address in Bulwell this morning (Thursday 7 May 2020).

Officers executed the warrant at an address on Carlin Street and arrested a 36-year-old man and a 31-year-old woman on suspicion of possession of a firearm with intent to cause fear of violence. They remain in custody while officers continue with their enquiries.

Detective Inspector Keith Priest, of Nottinghamshire Police, said: “Nottinghamshire Police takes firearms offences incredibly serious and will investigate all reports of possession of weapons.

“We are committed to keeping our communities safe from the use of weapons and we will take robust action against those involved in criminality in our communities.

“By working together with local communities we can all play a part to make our areas even safer.
