Nottinghamshire Wildlife Trust delighted to announce first demonstration event at Attenborough Nature Reserve since March.
On Saturday Attenborough Nature Reserve will host its first optics demonstration day since the start of lockdown, with long-term retail partners Opticron showcasing a range of binoculars and wildlife watching telescopes at the much loved site.
Speaking about the event, Wildlife Trust Head of Communications Erin McDaid said:
“This will be our first demonstration day since lockdown so we’ve worked with Opticron to ensure that it will operate in a safe, secure and sanitized way. With so many people spending more time connecting with nature and planning UK holidays this year, now could be the ideal time to buy your first quality binoculars or to upgrade your kit so you get the best out of your summer wildlife watching opportunities.”
Visitors will be able to test the latest equipment and to access a great range of deals with a wide selection of models to meet all budgets and levels of experience. The demonstration area close to Nature Centre will include a sanitizing station before reaching the binoculars, ‘scopes and all equipment will be cleaned before and after each use. The team will also ensure that only two people at a time will be at the display.
Erin added: “With our café and shop at Attenborough now reopened and visitors feeling safe to return we’re delighted to add our first event of the summer.
“Income from our retail operation is crucial to funding our work on the nature reserve and supporting our wider conservation effort across the county, so its great to be rebuilding our programme steadily and safely.”
The optics demonstration will run between 10.30am and 4pm and further details about the event can be found at nottinghamshirewildlife/org/events
