Oven stolen in Nottinghamshire burglary

Two suspects have been arrested by detectives after an oven was stolen during a house burglary.

Officers were called to reports of a burglary in progress at a terraced property in Lonsdale Road, Radford.

A 21-year-old man and 17-year-old boy were arrested at the scene on suspicion of burglary at around 11pm yesterday (Sunday 10 April 2022).

Detective Inspector Ruby Burrow, of Nottinghamshire Police, said: “Burglary is a very serious offence and we will always investigate reports thoroughly with a view to taking appropriate action against offenders.

“We will always respond to reports with utmost seriousness and seek to identify suspects as quickly as possible.

“Our proactive work is ongoing to reduce burglaries across Nottinghamshire and this includes force departments all working closely together to drive down the number of incidents.”
