Nottinghamshire Police officers discovered a large cannabis grow after responding to reports of a disturbance at a property in Bakersfield.
Hundreds of plants, estimated to be between 220 and 330, were discovered after officers forced entry into the address on Hollydale Road during the early hours of today (Sunday 10 May 2020).
Electricity had been bypassed in order to power growing equipment.
Two men, both aged 21, were arrested within the property on suspicion of production of cannabis and remain in custody.
Detective Inspector Gayle Hart, of Nottinghamshire Police, said: “Drug crime will not be tolerated in our city and county. Production and possession of cannabis is against the law and has a negative impact on the law-abiding public who have to live in areas where people commit these offences.
“Working with our communities and partners we will continue to tackle and disrupt those involved in this illegal activity and we remain committed to tackling those who commit drug crime with the full force of the law.”
