National Grid engineers are working to restore power to homes.
At 6:09 am engineers were reported to be on their way to the incident.
It’s estimated that 802 properties are without electricity.
National Grid said:
‘We are aware of this power cut incident which was raised at 5:58 am this morning 18 January and our engineers are working to get the power returned as quickly as possible.

‘We are sorry for any inconvenience this is causing you.’
‘There is currently a fault with our underground network.
‘We are working hard to resolve this.’
Postcodes across the NG17 area are affected.
National Grid say they expect power services to return to normal by 7:30 am today.
