An overhead power line issue could cause congestion affecting Nottingham – London services.
East Midlands Railways said:
‘There is damage to the overhead electric wires near Radlett.
‘This is between Luton and London St Pancras and is disrupting our trains on the Corby/ London St Pancras route.
‘Staff are on site now and are working hard to repair the damaged wires.
Trains on the Connect Corby-London St Pancras route in both directions will need to be reduced to 1 train per hour.
This is due to services being diverted onto another line to avoid the damaged electric wires, and services may be delayed up to 20 minutes.
The following services have been cancelled:
12:45 London St Pancras to Corby
14:09 Corby to London St Pancras
13:45 London St Pancras to Corby
14:45 London St Pancras to Corby

Trains on our Intercity Sheffield/Nottingham-London St Pancras route are not affected by overhead line problems, however, due to congestion they may also be delayed by up to 30 minutes.
‘We are expecting this issue to remain in place until the end of the day.
