Owners of Yumacha to open new Japanese and Spanish-inspired café bar in West Bridgford

A new café tapas bar from the owners of Yumacha is set to open in West Bridgford this summer.

Kōnā will open in mid-July on the corner of Tudor Square, bringing a menu influenced by Japanese and Spanish cooking.

The new venue will serve breakfast, lunch and tapas in a relaxed, casual setting, alongside coffee, carefully selected wines, specially designed cocktails and a small selection of draught beers.

The name コーナー kōnā is a Japanese loanword from the English word “corner” and is often used in shops to mean “food corner”.

The menu will be based around 15 dishes, made up of five meat dishes, five vegetable-based dishes and five seafood dishes. The selection will be reimagined regularly.
