Caroline Henry was elected the new PCC ( Police and Crime Commissioner ) for Nottinghamshire at today’s count.
Caroline said:
‘Nottinghamshire has spoken out for change.
‘I’m honoured to have been elected as your new Police & Crime Commissioner. However you voted and wherever you live, I will be a Commissioner that listens and delivers.
‘Thank you for putting your faith in me. I won’t let you down.’
Ruth Edwards, MP for Rushcliffe said: ‘I’m delighted to see Caroline Henry elected as Nottinghamshire’s new Police and Crime Commissioner.
‘Her commitment and energy have shone through in the campaign and I look forward to working with her to tackle crime in Rushcliffe.’
The new Commissioner will take up the role officially on 13 May 2021 and will serve a three-year term until 2024 due to the year-long postponement as a result of Covid-19.
Caroline takes over from Paddy Tipping who held the post since 2012 when PCCs were introduced.
