People turn up to buy drugs during police raid on Nottinghamshire property

Police say the presence of marked police vehicles didn’t deter buyers.

Police said:

‘This morning 9 January officers from Operation Reacher accompanied by the West Bassetlaw Neighbourhood Policing Team executed a Misuse of Drugs Act Warrant in John Street in Worksop.

‘A large amount of cash was recovered along with a quantity of Class A drugs (namely heroin).

‘A 41-year-old male was arrested from the address and is currently in custody awaiting questioning for the offence of Possession of a Class A drug with the intent to supply.

‘Not even the massive marked van parked outside and a host of police officers inside the address stopped people attending to buy their drugs.
