Person hit by a train between Nottingham and Beeston

There are disruptions to services in the area.

East Midlands Railways said:

‘We are sad to report that a person has been hit by a train.

‘This has occurred between Nottingham and Beeston and is disrupting our trains on the Intercity, Norwich – Liverpool, Newark – Crewe, Leicester/ Lincoln/ Grimsby, Nottingham – Matlock and Nottingham – Worskop routes.

‘At present emergency services are en-route to manage the incident.’

Trains running through the area in both directions cannot run between Nottingham and Beeston.
At present we do not have an estimate as to when the line will re-open. As soon as the line is open again, the priority will be to get trains running to their advertised times again.
