Person hit by a train – disruption on Nottingham services

East Midlands Railway announced the incident on Monday 10 March at 9:48 pm.

EMR said:

‘We are sad to report that a person has been hit by a train.

‘This has occurred between Derby and Sheffield and is disrupting our trains on the Intercity (Sheffield – London St Pancras) and Liverpool / Nottingham routes.

‘Emergency services are now in the area and managing the incident.

‘Trains running through the area in both direction cannot run between Derby and Sheffield.
Please use an online journey planner if you are travelling this evening. https://www.nationalrail.co.uk/

‘At present we are expecting the line to re-open in the next 2 hours. We expect our services the affect routes to be disrupted for the remainder of the evening.’
