Trains from Nottingham to London will be delayed this morning.
East Midlands Railways said at 5:44 am on Monday 11 July:
‘Sadly, a person has been hit by a train between London St Pancras and Luton.
‘Train services on our Intercity and Connect routes are affected.
‘We’ve arranged for your tickets to be used with other train operators to keep you moving this morning.’
At present emergency services are en-route to manage the incident. They are expected to arrive at 05:50.
EMR:
Two of the four lines in the area have now reopened, meaning some of our trains can now run between London St Pancras and Luton.
Trains running through the area in the both direction may be delayed by 30 minutes between London St Pancras and Luton.
Our train running teams are working with Network Rail to formulate a plan for our train service. Any alterations to our trains will be shown in online journey planners. https://www.nationalrail.co.uk/
At present we are expecting the line to re-open in the next 3 hours. As soon as the line is open again, our priority will be to get trains running to their advertised times again. We expect our advertised timetable to resume on the affected routes by 09:30.
