East Midlands Railways said:
‘We are sad to report that a person has been hit by a train.
‘This happened between Peterborough and Ely and is disrupting our trains on the Liverpool / Nottingham / Norwich routes.
‘The emergency services have now advised the it is safe for trains to run between Peterborough and Ely.’
How does this affect my train?
Trains running through the area in both direction can now run between Peterborough and Ely.
Some train services may be altered at short notice due to being delayed over 30 minutes.
