Following this year’s edition of the heavy metal festival Bloodstock (8-11 August) at Catton Park, 55 bikers on Harley Davidsons transported the ashes of the legendary, late, great Lemmy Kilmister to Rock City, Nottingham.
The specially-created bust commissioned by Bloodstock containing Lemmy’s ashes was handed over to Rock City – the world renowned venue where Motörhead played on 10 occasions – where they will remain on public display, returning to their primary home of Bloodstock each August.
With 10 Motörhead shows at the legendary venue spanning more than four decades from 1987 to 2006, Rock City is honoured to be paying tribute to one of the figureheads of rock history.
