A Bulwell pub has reopened following an investment of over £325,000 that has transformed the well-loved community pub, featuring a host of exciting upgrades.
Introducing its innovative “Two Door Pub” concept, The Tuck and Tanner now offers a sports bar area and a separate family lounge, creating two distinct spaces: a lively bar for the locals and a cosy, family-friendly lounge. Designed to cater for all occasions, The Tuck and Tanner brings the community together, offering guests the flexibility to enjoy their ideal experience with no compromises.
The community hero chosen to pull the first pint at the pub’s opening was Ian West. Ian is known throughout Top Valley for his dedication to keeping the area clean, tidying street signs and borders, litter-picking across the neighbourhood, and caring for the streets around local schools. He also fundraises for Guide Dogs and, last year, even walked from the UK to Portugal to raise money for charity. In addition to all this, Ian is a talented cook who prepares Sunday dinners for elderly residents.
The newly updated bar area features large HD screens to keep guests entertained with all the latest sports action. The space also includes a dedicated darts area and pool table, so guests can challenge friends, enjoy some friendly competition, and soak up the lively atmosphere.
The Tuck and Tanner is a dog-friendly local’s pub with a community feel. Locals can now drop by for a pint and a bite to eat, celebrating unmissable moments in the heart of the community. The pub continues to serve its popular favourites, among specials from the festive menu, such as the Festive Beef Burger, Loaded Roast Potatoes, and Dark Chocolate Mint Tart.
Now open, The Tuck and Tanner will host a variety of events over the festive period, including the Tuck and Tanner Big Quiz every Thursday evening.
