The Starbucks store on South Parade in Nottingham reopened today ( Wednesday 15th August ) after a major refurbishment, creating several new vacancies and an apprentice position.
To celebrate the reopening, an official ribbon cutting ceremony took place oat 10am, with Nottingham’s very own Robin Hood and Maid Marian from the Robin Hood Experience doing the honours.
The new-look store marks the reopening with the announcement of a new local charity partner, Framework Housing Association – a charity that delivers housing, health, employment, support and care services to people with a diverse range of needs.
Throughout the day there will be coffee tastings, where customers will have the chance to try the summer menu featuring the new Cheesecake Frappuccino trio, as well as an Aroma Lab hosted by the store’s Coffee Masters between 10am and 2pm. It’s a great opportunity to learn more about coffee, different roasts, the variety of brewing methods available and great food pairings.
The store team have also handed out 500 vouchers in the run up to the reopening, offering customers a free hand-crafted drink of their choice in the week following the reopening.
Cat Gaughan Brown, District Manager at Starbucks Franchisee Soul Coffee, said: “We are so excited to open our doors again to the local community here in Nottingham. The team are looking forward to celebrating the day with familiar faces as well as new customers. Please do come along and join us on the day for coffee tastings and a chance to meet Robin Hood and Maid Marian!”
The newly refurbished store, which will offer free Wi-Fi, has been redecorated throughout and features new flooring, artwork, tables and chairs – making it an ideal spot for the local community, shoppers, families and students.
The Starbucks store is located at 1 South Parade, Nottingham, NG1 and will be open Monday to Saturday 06:30 – 22:00 and Sunday 08:00 – 21:00
