Hundreds of people are down in Central Avenue today ( 7 July ) for the annual Taste of Rushcliffe event and YouNG Market. In temperatures of 28˚C and not a cloud in the sky. On ’til 4pm.
A fabulous range of local food is up for grabs today as Rushcliffe Borough Council’s annual food festival, Taste of Rushcliffe, returns to Central Avenue in West Bridgford.
There will be over 40 fabulous growers, makers, cooks and businesses from across the Borough on the market plus there will be lots of great cookery demonstrations, masterclasses and children’s activities from 10am to 4pm on Saturday July 7.
The event also coincides with the annual YouNG Summer Market, which highlights young entrepreneurs and performers from across the borough.
Deputy Leader of the Council Cllr Debbie Mason said: “Here in Rushcliffe we have such an amazing variety of different food outlets and local produce.
“This food festival is all about helping our local businesses become more recognised and giving event-goers a chance to sample the wide range of delicious local treats available.
“Come along to Central Avenue this Saturday in West Bridgford to enjoy everything the stalls have to offer.”
